A thing of beauty, only obtainable from Paddythepeddler! CAMPAGNOLO downtube shifters clamp, beautifully refabricated by Paddythepeddler! The original Campy bosses have been removed and replaced with INDUSTRY STANDARD BOSSES, compatible with all index downtube shifters ever made by Shimano, Suntour, Campagnolo, and Mavic, Sachs. Also takes all brands of barrel adjusters for road bike shifters. The interior of the original genuine Campagnolo downtube clamp is retrofitted with a super strong band of tempered 316 marine-grade tempered stainless steel, smoothly welded in place, shaped and polished. This permanently solves the achilles heel of these old Campy clamps, which is that they ultimately get stressed and fail at the narrowest cross-section after they have been reinstalled too many times. You’ll never have this problem ever with this piece, which will last a lifetime! Original band has been re-worked to maintain the original 28.6MM INSIDE DIAMETER. Paddythepeddler has spent hours refashioning this piece! A fine example of hand-crafted metal work and the welder’s art! (Second to last photo shows the band which reinforces the interior of the clamp for illustration purposes only. This piece is NOT included in the deal.) The original band is chromed steel, the bosses and all added welded metal is stainless steel.. Welds are highly polished. Original band is in MINT USED CONDITION. Welded bosses are brand-new. New stainless steel bolt and nut added to the deal. Paddythepeddler is compiling a list of downtube shifters that are compatible with this clamp. And also a list of ones that are not compatible.
